Thank you for purchasing from Restoration Online!

We want you to have the best experience possible, both with your order & delivery, as well as with the products themselves. With this in mind, there are a few important things you should know.

+ When will my order arrive?

You would have received an email with your invoice attached. On this invoice, for each item, there is an 'Est Ship Date'.

This date indicates the latest date we expect to ship your order from our warehouse. The item however may ship earlier than the date listed.

If there are different dates on different items, this means you will be receiving multiple parcels as the items will be shipped out from different warehouses. If there is an unexpected delay with your order and your parcel will leave our warehouse after this date, we will contact you.

Depending on your location and the delivery method, the transit time of the parcel may vary so we aren't able to give dates of when parcels will arrive, only when they will leave our warehouse.

You will receive a tracking number email for each parcel as it leaves our warehouse so you can track it on its way to you. Some carriers list an expected delivery date when you track the parcel on their website.

+ Checking your order

Once you receive your order, we require you to inspect your shipment/s within 48 hours of receipt.

Ensure that you have received the correct products (including parts) and that they are in good order.

If there are any problems, please contact us with photographs and a description of the issue within this time frame.

If notice (including photographs of faults) is not received within this time, (other than issues conferred by normal warranty) we may not be able to offer repairs or replacements.

+ Booking Tradespeople

We do not recommend booking any tradespeople for installation before taking receipt and inspecting your goods to ensure you have received the correct products and that they are in good order.

It is recommended that you do not attempt to drill any holes before you have received your products as most suppliers have a manufacturing tolerance, meaning any holes drilled may be in the wrong location.

+ Sample Items

If you are ordering items as samples, please note that you must contact us within 21 days of receipt of your order if you wish to return any goods. Please do not open (remove for any clear plastic packaging) any items you mean to return to us; if any are opened we cannot credit you for them. For more details regarding returning items, please see our returns policy.

+ Important Installation Information

Restoration Online highly recommends that all products are installed by a licensed, experienced professional.

There are a few products in our range that have specific information that you will require. Please see below.

For door handles that do not have tie-bolts (also known as through screws), it is important to ensure that the handles on each side of the door are aligned with each-other as closely as possible.

If the handles are out of alignment, this means that the spindle that goes through the door is not going through the door and latch in a straight line. This can put pressure on the latch which may cause the latch to seize.

Sink measurements can vary up to 2%. Ensure you measure your sink before you begin cabinet and benchtop construction.

For under mount installation; any sealant used where the top of your fireclay sink meets the underside of a stone bench-top needs to be flexible (like mould resistant silicone), rather than rigid (like stone adhesive) to allow for any difference in expansion rates between the stone and the sink. Once you have installed your sink, seal around the edges of your bench-top using a mould resistant silicon sealant such as Selleys Wet Area or Kitchen and Bathroom Silicon.

When installing the waste fitting/s it is important to use some silicone sealant between the metal waste flange (the part that you will see in the sink around the plug) and the glazed sink itself. This is to stop water from draining under the flange when the sink is filled. Please note that if surfaces are cleaned with a cloth dampened with Mineral Turps the silicone adheres very well. Also use the same cloth to clean up any excess silicone that squeezes out when the waste fitting is tightened. Ensure that the silicone is cleaned up BEFORE it dries.

Most of our range is supplied with wood screws. This means they are screws made to be installed into wood.

To install onto aluminium etc, it is possible, however you have to supply your own screws.

Most of the screws supplied with our products are made from brass. Although this means the screws will not rust over time (like steel), it does mean they are slightly softer than some screws. It is recommended that you pre-drill before installation and install the screws using a hand screw driver.
